Prohibition retarding production of certain varieties of cement CEMENT CONTROL (REGULATION OF PRODUCTION) ORDER, 1981 S.O. 129 (E), dated the 24th February, 1981. 6 -Whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary and expedient so to do for maintaining and increasing supplies and for securing the equitable distribution of cement, an essential commodity: Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following order, namely: 1. Short title, extent and commencement :- (1) This Order may be called Cement Control (Regulation of Production) Order, 1981. (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) It shall come into force at once. 2. Prohibition retarding production of certain varieties of cement :- No person shall produce any variety of cement for sale other than t h e varieties specified below : Provided that the Central Government may permit the production and sale of any other variety of cement taking into consideration the special needs of Defence, Railways, Power Units, or any other industry.
