No.9 of 1972), in its application to the Province of the Punjab Preamble.- WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Co-operative Societies (Reforms) Order, 1972 (P.O. No.9 of 1972), in its application to the Province of the Punjab, in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted as follows:- 1. Short Title, Extent And Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Co-operative Societies (Reforms) Order (Punjab Second Amendment) Act, 1973. (2) It shall extend to the whole of the Punjab. (3) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment Of Article 5 Of P.O. No.9 Of 1972 :- In the Co-operative Societies (Reforms) Order, 1972 (P.O. No.9 of 1972), in its application to the Province of the Punjab, in Article 5, in Clause 6, for the words "on a date between the Ist day of February, 1973, and 30th day of April, 1973", the words "on a date between the Ist day of July, 1973 and 31st day of August, 1973" shall be substituted. 3. Proceedings Already Taken And Rights Accrued To Be Ineffective :- Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the Order, no right shall be deemed to have accrued to any person by virtue of any election proceedings taken under the Order, before the coming into force of this Act.
