AMBEDKAR CENTENARY) RULES, 1991 S.O. 202(E), dated 18th March, 1991. 1 -In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 21, read with Section 7 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906) the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) These rules may be called the Coinage (Standard Weight and Remedy of the Commemorative Coins of One Rupee containing Copper 75% and Nickel 25% coined in Commemoration of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Centenary) Rules, 1991. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official Gazette.. 2. Standard weight and remedy allowed on the coins coined in commemoration of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Centenary :- The Standard Weight of the coins of One Rupee, coined under the provisions of Section 6 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), and the remedy allowed in the making of such coins shall be as specified in the Table below:
