Standard Weight and Remedy allowed COINAGE (STANDARD WEIGHT AND REMEDY OF THE TWO RUPEES, ELEVEN SIDED COINS CONTAINING COPPER 75 PER CENT. AND NICKEL 25 PER CENT.)COINED WITH THE THEME "SMALL FAMILY HAPPY FAMILY" RULES, 1993 G.S.R. 493(E), dated 30th June, 1993.1 -In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 21, read with Section 7 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely : 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) These rules may be called the Coinage (Standard Weight and Remedy of the Two Rupees, Eleven Sided Coins containing Copper 75 per cent. and Nickel 25 per cent.) coined with the theme "Small Family Happy Family" Rules, 1993. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official Gazette. 2. Standard Weight and Remedy allowed :- The standard weight of the coins of two rupees coined under the provisions of Section 6 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906). and the remedy allowed in the making of such coins shall be as specified in the Table below:
