Rule Compounder (Class-III) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1998. In exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 227 read with Sec. 274 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993) and in supersession of all the rules made in this behalf, the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to provide for regulating recruitment to the post of Compounder (Class-III) (Panchayats Servicei. namely: 1. Rule :- These rules may be called the Compounder (Class-III) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1998. 2. Rule :- Appointment to the post of Compounder (Class III) (Panchayats Service) shall be made by direct selection. 3. Rule :- To be eligible for appointment by direct selection to the post mentioned in Rule 2, a candidate shall (a) not be more than 28 years of age; (b) possess have a degree in Pharmacy or a Diploma in Pharmacy obtained from a University established by Law in India or its equivalent qualification and must have registered his name with the Gujarat Pharmacy Council; (c) have adequate knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi and English: Provided that preference shall be given to a candidate having experience in dispensing the medicines in hospitals or dispensaries. 4. Rule :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be on probation for a period of one year. 5. Rule :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to undergo such training for such period and pass such post training examination in accordance with rules prescribed by the Government. 6. Rule :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to pass the departmental examination and an examination in Gujarati or Hindi or both in accordance with the rules prescribed by the Government. 7. Rule :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to furnish security and surety bond in such form for such amount, and for such period as may be prescribed by the Government.
