Website : www.courtkutchehry.com Customs, Central Excise and Gold (Control) Removal of Difficulties Order, 1982 CONTENTS 1. 1 2. 2 3. 3 4. 4 Customs, Central Excise and Gold (Control) Removal of Difficulties Order, 1982 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of S.50 of the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1980, the Central Government hereby makes the following Order, namely:- 1. 1 :- (1) This order may be called the Customs, Central Excise and Gold (Control) Removal of Difficulties Order, 1982. (2) It shall come into force on the 11th day of October, 1982. 2. 2 :- The period within which an appeal against any order passed before the appointed day, by- Explanation: In this paragraph- (t) "Act" means the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), (n) "Appointed day" means the date of coming into force of the amendments to the Act specified in Part I of the Fifth Schedule to the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1980 (44 of 1980). 3. 3 :- The period within which an appeal against any order passed before the appointed day, by- Explanation.-In this paragraph- (i) "Act" means the Central Excise and Salt Act, 1944 (I of 1944) ; (ii) "appointed day" means the date of coming into force of the amendments to the Act specified in Part II of the Fifth Schedule to the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1980 (44 of 1980). 4. 4 :- The period within which an appeal against any order passed before the appointed day, by- Explanation.-In this paragraph- (i) "Act" means the Gold (Control) Act, 1968 (45 of 1968) ; (ii) "appointed day" means the date of coming into force of the amendments to the Act specified in Part II of the Fifth Schedule to the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1980 (44 of 1980).
