English Stenographers, Grade-II in the Gujarat State Wakf Board, Recruitment Regulations, 2000 In exercise of powers conferred by Sec. 24 read with Sec. 110 of the Wakf Act, 1995 and Regulations 15 and 16 of the Gujarat State Wakf Regulations, 2000, the Gujarat State Wakf Board hereby makes the following regulations to provide for regulating recruitment for appointment to the post of "ENGLISH STENOGRAPHERS GRADE-II" in the organisation of the Gujarat State Wakf Board, Gandhinagar namely: 1. . :- These rules may be called the English Stenographers, Grade- II, in the Gujarat State Wakf Board, Recruitment Regulations, 2000. 2. . :- Appointment to the post of English Stenographers Grade-II in any office under the Gujarat State Wakf Board shall be made either: (a) by promotion of person of proved merit and efficiency from amongst the persons working as English Stenographer Grade-III in any office under the Gujarat State Wakf Board. (b) Direct selection; 3. . :- (a) To be eligible for promotion to the post of English or Gujarati Stenographer Grade-II, the Stenographer Grade-III must. (b) have completed five years regular service as English Stenographer Grade-III. (c) have passed the required test held by the Recruiting Authority. Provided that where the Recruiting Authority is satisfied that a person having an experience specified above is not available for promotion and that it is in public interest to fill up the post by promotion of a person having experience for a lesser period, it may for reason to be recorded in writing, promote such person who has experience for a period not less than two thirds of the period specified above. 4. . :- To be eligible for appointment by direct selection to the post mentioned in Regulation 2 above a candidate must: (a) have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination or an examination recognised as equivalent thereto by the Government of Gujarat. (b) possess the speed of not less that 100 words per minute in shorthand and 40 words per minute in typewriting. (c) have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 40 years on the date specified by the Recruiting Authority in the advertisement of such posts published by the recruiting authority. Provided that the above age limit only be relaxed in favour of a candidate who is already in the service of the Government of Gujarat, in accordance with the provision of the Gujarat Civil Services, Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967 as amended from time to time. 5. . :- The candidate appointed by direct selection shall be on probation of one year. 6. . :- The selected candidate shall be required to pass the prescribed language examination in Gujarati or Hindi or both in accordance with the rules prescribed by the Government in that behalf from time to time.
