Extension Officer (Animal Husbandry) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1997 In exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 274 read with Sec. 227 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993) and in supersession of all the rules made in this behalf, the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to provide for regulating recruitment to the post of extension officer (Animal Husbandary) Panchayat Service, namely: 1. . :- These rules may be called the Extension Officer (Animal Husbandary) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1997. 2. . :- Appointment to the post of Extension Officer (Animal Husbandary) shall be made by promotion of a person of proved merit and efficiency from amongst the persons who have worked for not less than five years in the cadre of Live Stock Inspector and have passed the prescribed departmental examination. 3. . :- A selected candidate shall be required to undergo such training for such period, and to pass such post training examination, as may be prescribed by the Government.
