Restrictions on movements of Chinese nationals FOREIGNERS (RESTRICTION ON MOVEMENTS) ORDER, 1960 1G.S.R. 1454, dated the 6th December, 1960.-In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of Foreigners Act, 1946 (31 of 1946), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order, namely :- 1. Short title and commencements :- (1) This Order may be called the Foreigners (Restriction on Movements) Order, 1960. (2) It shall come into force at once. 2. Definition :- In this Order, "Chinese nationals" includes an indigenous inhabitant of the Tibet region of China. 3. Restrictions on movements of Chinese nationals :- Notwithstanding anything contained in any order or directions, that may have been issued by any authority, no Chinese national shall,- (1) enter, or depart from, the district of Darjeeling across the Sikkim-West Bengal border except through the check-post at Rangpor Pedong; and (2) enter, or depart from the district of Darjeeling from or to any other part of India except through the check-post at Siliguri.
