VI of 1962), the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules, namely: 1. Short title :- The following posts included in the District Cadre but excluding posts belonging to the Inferior Panchayat Service under the District Panchayat, namely :- 1. Clerical Cadre: 1. The following posts, namely :- 1. Vasulati Clerk 2. Octroi Clerk 3. All posts belonging to the Inferior Panchayat Service under Gram Panchayat or Nagar Panchayats 4. Post required for schools run by the Gram Panchayat/Nagar Panchayat. 5. Post required for Libraries run by the Gram Panchayat/Nagar Panchayat. 6. All posts required for dispensaries conducted by Gram Panchayats and Nagar Panchayats except the posts of compounders. 7. All other technical or non-technical posts under the Gram Panchayat or Nagar Panchayat. 1 \Short title . -These rules may be called the Gujarat District Panchayat Service Selection Committee (Consultation) Rules, 1964. 4. Definitions :- In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires- (i) "the Act" means the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1961: (ia) "The Board" means The Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board as constituted under Section 210; (ii) "Government" means the Government of the State of Gujarat; (iii) "Panchayats Service" means service as constituted by an order made by Government from time to time under section 203 of the Act; (iv) "Schedule" means a Schedule appended to these rules; (iva) "Section" means section of the Act; (v) "Selection Committee" means the District Panchayat Service Selection Committee as constituted under section 21 I of the Act. 3. . :- 1 Deleted. 1. Appointments, piomotions and transfers :- The advise of the Committee shall be obtained in respect of *appointment including appointment by nomination, by loan service, by deputation, by re-employment or by transfer from State Service to The Panchayat Service, or appointment by promotion to any of the posts mentioned in The Schedule except; (a) where the period of appointments is not likely to exceed **one year; or (b) where temporary appointments and promotions for a period exceeding @ one year are required to be made immediately on administrative grounds: Provided that in the case of a temporary appointment or promotion referred to in clause (b) the panchayat concerned shall, however, notify the same to the Selection Committee immediately **for its advice after the appointment is made. *.
