GUJARAT LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY MEMBERS (FREE TRANSIT BY RAILWAY) RULES, 1965 GUJARAT LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY MEMBERS (FREE TRANSIT BY RAILWAY) RULES, 1965 1. Short title and commencement. :- (2) These rules shall come into force on the date notified under section 5-B of the Act. 2. Definitions. :- In these rules, unless the context requires otherwise:- (b) 'coupon book' means a rail travel coupon book issued to a member under these rules; (c) 'member' means a member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly: (d) 'Secretary' means the Secretary, Gujarat Legislature Secretariat. 3. Members to be provided with coupon books. :- Subject to the provision of these rules, every member shall be provided by the Secretary with coupon books which shall entitle him to travel 1[singly or jointly with 2[co-travelers]] by first class 3[or any other class the fare of which does not exceed that for the first class 4[or second class air conditioned]] at any time by any railway in any part of the State of Gujarat 5 [and in any part of India outside the State of Gujarat] 1. Requisition for supply of coupon books. :- -(1) The Secretary shall, whenever necessary, make a requisition on the General Manager, Western Railway, Bombay, for the supply of coupon books for use by the members under and in accordance with these rules. 5. Coupon books and denominations of Coupons. :- 12[(2) Coupons in coupon books referred to in clause (i) of sub rule (1) shall be available in books for aggregate value ofRs. 3000 as shown be low:- 8 coupons of 5 rupees each..........= Rs. 40/-. 16 coupons of 10 rupees each........= Rs. 160/-. 8 Coupons of 50 rupees each.........= Rs. 400/-. 4 Coupons of 100 rupees each........= Rs. 400/-. 4 coupons of 500 rupees each........= Rs. 2000/-. ]. 3 [x x x] 1. Repeal. :- The Gujarat Legislative Assembly Members' (Railway Travel) Fare Reimbursement Rules. 1981 are hereby repealed except as respects things done or omitted to be done under the rules repealed.
