GUJARAT LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY MEMBERS'(ROAD TRANSPORT SERVICE) TRAVEL FARE REIMBURSEMENT RULES, 1981 The following rules which have been made by the Committee constituted under clause (a) of sub-section (1) of Section 10 of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Members' Salaries and Allowances Act, 1960 (Guj. II of 1960), in consultation with the State Government in exercise of the powers conferred on it by clause (d) of sub- section (1) of the said Section 10 read with Sections 6 and 6-AA thereof, and which have been approved, and confirmed by the Speaker of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly as required under clause (e) of sub-section (1) of the said section 10, are hereby published for general information:- 1. Short title and commencement. :- (2) They shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st days of June, 1981. 2. Definitions. :- In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,- (b) "member" means the member of the Assembly: (c) "year" means the financial year. 3. Definitions. :- 4. Audit of Bills. :- (1)(a) A member claiming travelling fare reimbursement shall send to the Gujarat Legislature Secretariat a bill in that behalf, after endorsing thereon any one or more of the certificates in Forms A3. A4, A5, A6 and A7 appended to these rules and applicable to his claim. (b) The Secretary of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly or an officer authorised by him. shall- (i) countersign the bill and make payment by cheque: and (ii) forward the accounts of the cheques drawn to the Pay and Accounts Officer supported by true paid vouchers for postaudit. (2) The Pay and Accounts Officer on receipt of the paid bills from the Gujarat Legislature Secretariat shall check them cent per cent and adjust them in the accounts.
