Fees and allowances payable to members of the Board for attending meeting of the Board or its Committees:- GUJARAT MARITIME BOARD (FEES AND ALLOWANCES PAYABLE TO MEMBERS) RULES, 1982 Whereas certain draft rules called "The Gujarat Maritime Board Fees and Allowances Payable to Members) Rules, 1982" were published as required by sub-section (3) of section 109 of the Gujarat Maritime Board Act, 1981 (Gujarat 30 of 1981) at pages 113-1 and 113-2 of the Gujarat Government Notification, Ports and Fisheries Department No. GH/B-25/82/GMB-1982/GH, dated the 3rd June, 1982. Inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby till 19th June, 1982. And whereas no objections o r suggestion from the public on the said draft notification have been received by the Government. Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 109 read with section 12 of the Gujarat Maritime Board Act, 1981 (Gujarat 30 of 1981), the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules, namely:- 1. Short title and Commencement :- (1) These rules may be called the Gujarat Maritime Board (Fees and Allowances payable to Members) Rules, 1982. (2) They shall come into force with effect on and from 21st June, 1982. 2. Fees and allowances payable to members of the Board for attending meeting of the Board or its Committees:- :- (1) If the Chairman or member of the Board is not in receipt of any salary or honorarium, he shall be entitled to a sitting fee of Rs. 100 for attending, each meeting of the Board and of Rs. 50/- for attending each meeting of any of the Committees of the Board. (2) The Chairman and other members of the Board shall be entitled to a travelling allowance at the rates admissible to Grade I Officer drawing pay of Rs. 3,500/- per month:
