Expenditure on public reception, ceremony, entertainment or exhibition SCHEDULE 1 :- SCHEDULE GUJARAT MUNICIPALITIES (EXPENDITURE ON PUBLIC RECEPTION, CEREMONY, ENTERTAINMENT OF EXHIBITION) RULES, 1965 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 277 of the Gujarat Municipalities Act, 1963 read with clause (a) in item E of section 91 of the said Act, the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules, namely. 1. Short title :- These rules may be called the Gujarat Municipalities (Expenditure on Public Reception, Ceremony, Entertainment of Exhibition) Rules, 1965. 2. Expenditure on public reception, ceremony, entertainment or exhibition :- (1) No provision for expenditure out of Municipal property and fund for any public reception, ceremony, entertainment or exhibition within the municipal borough shall be made by a municipality except by passing a resolution in that behalf at a meeting of the municipality. (2) The provision for expenditure to be made by a municipality having on yearly Income specified in column 2 of the Schedule appended to these rules shall not, except with the previous sanction of the Collector, exceed the amounts respectively specified in columns 3 and 4 of said Schedule.
