Extension of Rules to Dangs District GUJARAT PANCHAYATS (EXTENSION OF RULES TO BANGS DISTRICT) RULES, 1972 In exercise of the powers confer- red by section 323 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1961 (Guj VI of 1962) the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following Rules, namely: 1. . :- These Rules may be called the Gujarat Panchayats (Extension of Rules to Dangs District) Rules, 1972. 2. Extension of Rules to Dangs District :- (1) The rules specified in the Appendix (hereinafter referred as the "said rules") shall extend to and apply to the Dangs District subject to the modification that the reference jto the Taluka Development Officer in any of the provisions of the said rules shall construed as reference to the District Development Officer; and accor- dingly the powers, duties and functions of the Taluka Development Officer under the said rules shall be exercised, discharged and performed in the said district by the Distiict Development Officer. (2) For the purpose of faciliating the application of the said rules to the Dangs District it shall be lawful for the authorities and persons concern- ed to construe them in such manner, without affecting the substance, as may be necessary or proper.
