Panchayat to make payments out of its fund GUJARAT PANCHAYATS LENT SERVANTS RULES, 1966 No.KP/637/PRR-63/66:Jh.-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 323 read with section 203 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1961 (Guj. VI of 1962), the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules, namely:- 1. Short title :- These rules may be called the Gujarat Panchayats Lent Servants Rules, 1966. 2. Request for lending service of Government Officers :- A Panchayat, which desires to obtain the services of a Government Officer on loan, shall make a written request to the authority competent to transfer the Government officer to foreign service according to the conditions of his service. The written request shall state the nature of the duties to be performed and qualifications and experience which should be possessed, by the Officer whose services are sought to be obtained and the reasons for the request. 3. Grant or rejection of request :- On receipt of the written request the aforesaid authority may either grant the request, provided the conditions for transfer to a foreign service laid down in the conditions of service of the Officer are fulfilled or may reject it. 4. Terms and conditions of loan of services :- The services of an Officer of the Government may be lent by the aforesaid authority subject to such terms and conditions as may be laid down by that authority provided that such terms and conditions shall conform to those as could be laid down for transfer of that Officer to a foreign service under the conditions of his service. 5. Panchayat to make payments out of its fund :- All payments and contributions to be made under the terms and conditions subject to which the services of an officer of the Government are lent to the Panchayat shall, unless otherwise expressly provided in those terms and conditions, be paid by the panchayat from out of its fund.
