It is hereby enacted in the fifty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short Title And Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Gujarat Sales Tax (Amendment) Act, 2001. (2) It shall come into force on the 1st April, 2001. 2. Amendment Of Section 4-A Of Guj. 1 Of 1970 :- In the Gujarat Sales Tax Act, 1969, in section 4A, in sub-section (1), for the words "one year", the words "two years", shall be substituted.
