Gujarati Stenographer, Grade III (Class III) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Eules, 1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 227 read with Sec. 274 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993) and in supersession of all the rules made in this behalf, the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to provide for regulating recruitment to the post of Gujarati Stenographer, Grade III (Class III) (Panchayat Service), namely 1. 1. :- These rules may be called the Gujarati Stenographer, Grade III (Class III) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment) Rules, 1998. 2. 2. :- Appointment to the post of Gujarati Stenographer, Grade III, (Class III) (Panchayat Service) shall be made by direct selection. 3. 3. :- To be eligible for appointment by direct selection to the post mentioned in Rule 2, a candidate shall (a) not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years of age. (b) (i) have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination or its equivalent examination recognised by the state Government. (c) have adequate knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi. 4. 4. :- A selected candidate shall be on probation for a period of one year. 5. 5. :- A selected candidate shall be required to undergo such training for such period and pass such post-training examination as may be prescribed by the Government. 6. 6. :- A selected candidate shall be required to pass the departmental examination and an examination in Gujarati or Hindi or both, as may be prescribed by the Government. 7. 7. :- A selected candidate shall be required to furnish a security and surety bond for such amount, in such form and for such period as may be prescribed by the Government.
