Amendment of the First Schedule to Act 14 of 1947 INDUSTRIAL DISPUTES (WEST BENGAL AMENDMENT) ACT, 1961 25 of 1961 [17th November, 1961] An Act to amend the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, in its application to West Bengal. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, in its application to West Bengal, for the purpose and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted as follows :- 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Industrial Disputes (West Bengal Amendment) Act, 1961. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. 2. Application of the Act :- The Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), shall, in its application to West Bengal, be amended for the purpose and in the manner hereinafter provided. 3. Amendment of the First Schedule to Act 14 of 1947 :- In the First Schedule to the said Act, after item No. 10, the following item shall be added, namely :- "11. Oxygen and acetylene.".
