SCHEDULE 1 :- Instructor Instructor (Class-III) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 2002 In exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 227 read with Sec. 274 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993) and in supersession of all the rules made in this behalf the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to provide for regulating recruitment to the post of Instructor (Class-III) (Panchayat Service) namely: 1. . :- (1) These rules may be called the Instructor (Class-III) (Panchayat Service), Recruitment Rules, 2002. N.B. (2) The post of Instructor shall consist of different trades as shown in Schedule-I. 2. . :- Appointment to the post of Instructor (Class-III) (Panchayat Service) shall be made either. (a) by promotion of a person of proved merit and efficiency from amongst the persons who have worked as Assistant Instructor (Class-III) (Panchayat Service) for not less than five years; or (b) by direct selection. 3. . :- The appointment by direct selection and promotion shall be made in the ratio of l : 1. 4. . :- To be eligible for appointment by direct selection to the post mentioned in Rule 2, a candidate shall (a) not less than than 18 years and not more than 30 years; (b) (i) possess Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Automobiles Engineering or in Printing Technology or in Radio Mechanics, of a recognised University or an Institution, (ii) (a) have passed the Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent (exemption) and have obtained certificate in two years course in concerned trade from a Government recognised institution, (b) have at least there years teaching experience in the concerned trade, or (iii) (a) have passed the Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent examination with certificate in one year course in the concerned trade from a Government recognised institution, (b) have at least seven years teaching experience in the concerned trade, (c) have adequate knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi. 5. . :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be on probation for a period of one year. 6. . :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to undergo such training for such period and pass such post-training examination as may be prescribed by the Government. 7. . :- A selected candidate shall be required to pass the departmental examination and an examination in Gujarati or Hindi or both as may be prescribed by the Government. 8. . :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to furnish security and surety bond for such amount, in such form and for such period as may be prescribed by the Government.
