Whereas, it is expedient further to amend the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 12 of 1964), for the purposes hereinafter appearing. Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the Fifty-ninth year of Republic of India, as follows:- 1. Short Title And Commencement :- ( 1 ) This Act may be called the Karnataka Land Revenue (Amendment) Act, 2009. (2) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment Of Section 94-B :- In clause (iii) of sub-section (1) of Section 94-B of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 12 of 1964), for the words "within eight years", the words "within eleven years" shall be and shall always be deemed to have been substituted.
