Title and commencement :- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Fanchayat Raj (Application of Grama Panchayat Fund) Rules, 1994. (2) They shall come into force at once. 2. Definitions :- In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires, (1) "Act" means the Karnataka Panchayat Raj Act, 1994; (2) "Grama Panchayat Fund" means the fund referred to in S.212 OF THE Karnataka Panchayat Raj Act, 1994; (3) "Section" means a section of the Act. 3. Restrictions, conditions and limitations on expenditure from the Grama Fanchayat fund :- The Grama Panchayat may subject to the provision having been made in the budget incur expenditure from out of the Grama Panchayat fund. (1) on the items specified in column (2) of the table below within the limits specified in the corresponding entries in column (3) thereof: Provided that with the previous sanction of the Taluk Panchayat or the Zilla Panchayat as the case may be, expenditure may be incurred within the limits specified in the corresponding entries in columns (4) and (5) respectively: Provided further that no expenditure shall be incurred beyond the limits specified in column (5) thereof without the prior sanction of the Government. 4. Expenditure to be incurred for supply of clothing to Grama Panchayat employees :- The Grama Panchayat may, within the budget provision, incur expenditure from the Grama Panchayat fund for supply of clothing for Grama Panchayat employees analogous to Group-D officials of the Government in accordance with the rules for the time being in force for supply of uniform to such officials. 5. Repeal of the Karnataka Mandal Panchayats (Applications of Mandal Panchayat Fund) Rules, 1986 :- The Karnataka Mandal Panchayats (Application of Mandal Panchayat Fund) Rules, 1986 are hereby repealed.
