Amendment Of Section 2 Karnataka Prevention Of Dangerous Activities Of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Gamblers, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders And Slum Grabbers (Amendment) Act, 2000 16 of 2001 [01 May 2001] An Act further to amend the Karnataka Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Boot Leggers, Drug-Offenders, Gamblers, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders and Slum-Grabbers Act, 1985. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Karnataka Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Boot Leggers, Drug-offenders, Gamblers, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders and Slum-Grabbers Act, 1985 (Karnataka Act 12 of 1985) for the purposes hereinafter appearing; Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the fifty first year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short Title And Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Karnataka Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Boot-Leggers, Drug-offenders, Gamblers, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders and Slum-Grabbers (Amendment) Act, 2000. (2) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment Of Section 2 :- In clause (g) of section 2 of the Karnataka Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Boot-Leggers, Drug-offenders, Gamblers, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders and Slum-Grabbers Act, 1985 (Karnataka Act 12 of 1985), for the words and figures "under Chapter XVI" the words and figures "under Chapter VIM, Chapter XV, Chapter XVI" shall be substituted.
