Whereas, it is expedient further to amend the Karnataka State Universities Act, 2000 (Karnataka Act 29 of 2001) for the purposes hereinafter appearing; Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the fifty-eighth year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short Title And Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Karnataka State Universities (Amendment) Act, 2007. (2) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment Of Section 38 :- In the Karnataka State Universities Act, 2000 (Karnataka Act 29 of 2001), in section 38,- (1) in sub-section (1), the words "or till reconstitution, whichever is earlier" shall be omitted; (2) sub-section (2) shall be omitted.
