Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Kerala Co- operative Societies Act, 1969, for the purpose hereinafter appearing; Be it enacted in the Forty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short Title And Commencement :- ( 1 ) This Act may be called the Kerala Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Act, 1997. (2) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment Of Section 2 :- In section 2 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969 (21 of 1969), in clause (u), for the words and figures "first day of July of any year and ending with 30th of June", the words and figures "first day of April of any year and ending with 31st of March" shall be substituted.
