Secretarial facilities LEADERS OF OPPOSITION IN MAHARASHTRA LEGISLATURE (SECRETARIAL FACILITIES) RULES, 1978 In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 13 read with Section 10 of the Leaders of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislature Salaries and Allowances Act, 1978 (Mah. VIII of 1978), the Government of Maharashtra hereby makes the following rules, namely :- 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) These rules may be called Leaders of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislature (Secretarial Facilities) Rules, 1978. (2) They shall be deemed to have come into force on the 27th March, 1978. 2. Secretarial facilities :- (1) There shall be placed at the disposal of each Leader of the Opposition, the following staff namely:- (a) One Private Secretary (b) Two Personal Assistants (ba) One Stenographer-cum-Personal Assistant (c) One Stenographer (d) One Clerk-Typist (e)***** (f) Five peons/messengers. (2) The posts mentioned in sub-rule (1) shall carry the same status and scales of pay as are applicable to corresponding posts on the personal staff of a Cabinet Minister of the State Government. (3) The posts mentioned in sub-rule (1) shall be borne on the establishment of the Maharashtra Legislature Secretariat.
