Leprosy Supervisor (Class III) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 227 read with Sec. 274 of the Gujarat Panchayat Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993) and in supersession of all the rules made in this behalf, the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to provide for regulating recruitment to the post of Leprosy Supervisor (Class III) (Panchayat Service), namely: 1. 1. :- These rules may be called the Leprosy Supervisor (Class III) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1998. 2. 2. :- Appointment to the post of Leprosy Supervisor (Class III) (Panchayat Service) shall be made by promotion of a person of proved merit and efficiency from amongst the persons who have worked for not less than five years as Leprosy Assistant (Class III) (Panchayat Service) and have passed the prescribed departmental examination. 3. 3. :- A selected candidate shall be required to undergo such training for such period and pass such post training examination and an examination in Hindi or Gujarati or both in accordance with the rules by the Government.
