Retail Issue Price of Levy Sugar LEVY SUGAR (RETAIL ISSUE PRICE) ORDER, 2001 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955). the Central Government hereby makes the following Order, namely 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) This Order may be called the Levy Sugar (Retail Issue Price) Order, 2001. (2) It shall come into force with effect from 1st March, 2001. 2. Retail Issue Price of Levy Sugar :- (1) The Retail Issue Price of Levy Sugar distributed through the Public Distribution System has been fixed at Rs 13.25 per kg. (2) The price determined under this paragraph shall apply to the sugar sold. on or after the date of commencement of this Order.
