Short little, commencement and application LIFE INSURANCE CORPORATION OF INDIA CLASS III AND CLASS IV EMPLOYEES (PAYMENT OF KIT ALLOWANCE) RULES, 1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 48 of the Life Insurance Corporation Act, 1956 (31 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules namely:- 1. Short little, commencement and application :- (1) These rules may be called the Life Insurance Corporation of India Class in and Class IV Employees (Payment of Kit Allowance) Rules, 1988. (2) The shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of October, 1986. (3) They shall apply to all Class III and Class IV Employees of the Corporation. 1 Kit allowance Every Class in and every Class IV employees of the Corporation, on his first appointment or on his transfer to any of the his stations at which hill allowance is payable in terms of rule 11 of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (Class III and IV Employees Revision of Terms and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1985 shall be paid a kit allowance of Rs. 500 : Provided that no kit allowance shall be payable on transfer of such Employee from one hill station to another if such employee has drawn such allowance any time during the precceding three years 1. Subs. by G.S.R. 517(E), dated 12th May, 1989 (w.e.f. 1st August, 1987).
