Live Stock Inspector (Panchayat Service) (Class-III) Recruitment Rules, 2002 In exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 227 read with Sec. 274 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993) and in supersession of all the rules made in this behalf, the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to provide for regulating recruitment to the post of Live Stock Inspector (Panchayat Service) (Class-III), namely: 1. . :- These rules may be called the Live Stock Inspector (Panchayat Service) (Class-III) Recruitment Rules, 2002. 2. . :- Appointment to the post of Live Stock Inspector (Panchayat Service) (Class-III) shall be made either (a) by promotion of a person of proved merit and efficiency from amongst the persons who have (i) worked as Compounder (Veterinary) for not less than five years in Panchayat Service; (ii) successfully undergone a training course of Live Stock Inspector recognised by Government of Gujarat from time to time; or (b) by direct selection. 3. . :- The appointment by direct selection and promotion shall be made in the ratio of 1: 3 respectively. 4. . :- To be eligible for appointment by direct selection to the post mentioned in Rule 2, a candidate shall (a) not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years of age; (b) have passed the Secondary School Certificate examination with English subject and have successfully undergone the pre-service Live-Stock Inspector Course recognised by the Government of Gujarat; (c) have adequate knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi. 5. . :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be on probation for a period of one year. 6. . :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to undergone such training for such period and pass such post- training examination as may be prescribed by the Government. 7. . :- A selected candidate shall be required to pass the departmental examination and an examination in Gujarati or Hindi or both as may be prescribed by the Government. 8. . :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to furnish a security and surety bond in such form for such amount and for such period as may be prescribed by the Government.
