Substitution Of Long Title Madhya Pradesh Govansh Vadh Pratishedh (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2010 [22 December 2011] An Act to amend the Madhya Pradesh Govansh Vadh Pratishedh Adhiniyam, 2004 Be it enacted by the Madhya Pradesh Legislature in the Sixty first Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Short Title And Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Madhya Pradesh Govansh Vadh Pratishedh (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2010. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, appoint. 2. Substitution Of Long Title :- In the Madhya Pradesh Govansh Vadh Pratishedh Adhiniyam, 2004 (No. 6 of 2004) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the long title, the following long title shall be substituted, namely:- - "An Act to provide, in the interest of general public and to maintain communal harmony and peace, for prohibition of slaughter of cow progeny, and for preservation and conservation of cow progeny and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.".
