Amendment of section 38, Rajasthan Act No. 8 of 2000 Maharana Pratap University Of Agriculture And Technology Udaipur (Amendment) Act, 2015 18 of 2015 [27 April 2015] An Act further to amend the Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology Udaipur Act, 2000. Be it enacted by the Rajasthan State Legislature in the Sixty-sixth Year of the Republic of India, as follows:- 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology Udaipur (Amendment) Act, 2015. (2) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment of section 2, Rajasthan Act No. 8 of 2000 :- I n section 2 of the Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology Udaipur Act, 2000 (Act No. 8 of 2000), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, after the existing clause (a) and before the existing clause (b), the following new clause shall be inserted, namely:- (aa) "affiliated college" means a college or institute admitted to the privileges of the University; . 3. Amendment of section 4, Rajasthan Act No. 8 of 2000 :- In section 4 of the principal Act,- (i) the existing sub-section (3) shall be deleted; (ii) the existing sub-section (4) shall be renumbered as subsection (3); and (iii)after the sub-section (3) so renumbered, the following new sub- section shall be added, namely:- (4) The State Government may, by order in writing- (a) require any institute or college within the territorial limits of the University to terminate, with effect from such date as may be specified in the order, its association with, or its admission to the privileges of any other university incorporated by law to such extent as may be considered necessary and proper; or (b) exclude, to such extent as may be considered necessary and proper, from association with, or from admission to the privileges of the University constituted by this Act any institute or college specified in the order which, in the opinion of the State Government, is required to be self governing or to be associated with or admitted to the privileges of, any other university or body. . 4. Amendment of section 7, Rajasthan Act No. 8 of 2000 :- In section 7 of the principal Act, after the existing clause (e) and before the existing clause (f), the following new clause shall be inserted, namely:- (ee) to admit colleges and institutes, not maintained by the University, to the privileges of the University, and to withdraw all or any of such privileges; . 5. Amendment of section 12, Rajasthan Act No. 8 of 2000 :- I n sub-section (2) of section 12 of the principal Act, after the existing clause (x) and before the existing clause (xi), the following new clause shall be inserted, namely:- (x-a) to grant affiliation to colleges or institutes on the recommendation of the Academic Council or withdraw such affiliation; . 6. Amendment of section 38, Rajasthan Act No. 8 of 2000 :- In section 38 of the principal Act,- (i) after the existing clause (11) and before the existing clause (12), the following new clause shall be inserted, namely:- (11-a) procedure and terms and conditions of affiliation and of withdrawal of such affiliation, and terms and conditions of fees for affiliation, to colleges or institutes; ; and (ii) in clause (12), after the existing expression management of and before the existing expression Colleges/Centres , the word constituent shall be inserted.
