I of 1977 Maharashtra Legislature Members Pension (Amendment) Act, 2013 24 OF 2013 [21 August 2013] An Act further to amend the Maharashtra Legislature Members' Pension Act, 1976. WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Maharashtra Legislature Members' Pension Act, 1976, for the purposes hereinafter appearing; it is hereby enacted in the Sixty-fourth Year of the Republic of India, as follows :- 1. Short title :- This Act may be called the Maharashtra Legislature Members Pension (Amendment) Act, 2013. 2. Amendment of section 3 of Mah. I of 1977 :- In section 3 of the Maharashtra Legislature Members Pension Act, 1976 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act"), in sub-section (1),- (a) for the words " twenty-five thousand rupees" the words " forty thousand rupees" shall be substituted; (b) in the first proviso, for the words "one thousand rupees" the words "two thousand rupees" shall be substituted. 3. Amendment of section 4A of Mah. I of 1977 :- In section 4A of the principal Act, in sub-section (2D), for the words and figures "with effect from the 1st May 2011, at the rate of rupees twenty-five thousand" the words and figures "with effect from the 1st August 2013, at the rate of rupees forty thousand" shall be substituted.
