I Of 1977 Maharashtra Legislature Members Pension (Second Amendment) Act, 2007 1 of 2007 [05 January 2007] PREAMBLE An Act further to amend the Maharashtra Legislature Members' Pension Act, 1976. WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Maharashtra Legislature Members' Pension Act, 1976 (Mah. I of 1977), for the purposes hereinafter appearing; it is hereby enacted in the Fifty- seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows :- 1. Short Title :- (1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Legislature Members Pension (Second Amendment) Act, 2007. 2. Amendment Of Section 3 Of Mah. I Of 1977 :- In section 3 of the Maharashtra Legislature Members Pension Act, 197 (Mah. I of 1977), in sub-section (1), for the first proviso, the following proviso shall be substituted, namely:- "Provided that, where any person has served as a Member for a period exceeding five years, there shall be paid to him an additional pension of five hundred rupees per month for every year in excess of five years:".
