Xlix Of 1956 Maharashtra Legislature Members Salaries And Allowances (Amendment) Act, 2007 18 of 2007 [05 May 2007] PREAMBLE An Act further to amend the Maharashtra Legislature Members' Salaries and Allowances Act. WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Maharashtra Legislature Members' Salaries and Allowances Act (Bom. XLIX of 1956), for the purposes hereinafter appearing; it is hereby enacted in the Fifty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short Title :- (1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Legislature Members Salaries and Allowances (Amendment) Act, 2007. 2. Amendment Of Section 5 Of Bom. Xlix Of 1956 :- I n section 5 of the Maharashtra Legislature Members Salaries and Allowances Act, in sub-section (1),- (a) in clause (i), for the words "the first class fare" the words "the air-conditioned two-tier fare" shall be substituted; (b) in the first proviso, for the words "rupees five per kilometer" the words "rupees six per kilometer" shall be substituted.
