I Of 1977 Maharashtra Legislature Members Salaries And Allowances And Pension (Amendment) Act, 2008 20 of 2008 [09 May 2008] An Act further to amend the Maharashtra Legislature Members' Salaries and Allowances Act and the Maharashtra Legislature Members' Pension Act, 1976. WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Maharashtra Legislature Members' Salaries and Allowances Act (Born. XLIX of 1956) and the Maharashtra Legislature Members' Pension Act, 1976 (Mah. I of 1977), for the purposes hereinafter appearing ; it is hereby enacted in the Fifty- ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows :-- CHAPTER 1 PRELIMINARY 1. Short Title :- This Act may be called the Maharashtra Legislature Members Salaries and Allowances and Pension (Amendment) Act, 2008. CHAPTER 2 AMENDMENT TO THE MAHARASHTRA LEGISLATURE MEMBERS' SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES ACT 2. Amendment Of Section 5 Of Bom. Xlix Of 1956 :- In section 5 of the Maharashtra Legislature Members Salaries and Allowances Act (Bom XLIX of 1956), in sub-section (1A), for the words " twelve single journeys" the words "twenty single journeys" shall be substituted. CHAPTER 3 AMENDMENT TO THE MAHARASHTRA LEGISLATURE MEMBERS' PENSION ACT, 1976 3. Amendment Of Section 4 Of Mah. I Of 1977 :- In section 4 of the Maharashtra Legislature Members Pension Act, 1976 (Man. I of 1977), in sub-section (2), the proviso shall be deleted and shall be deemed always to have been deleted.
