An Act further to amend the MaharashtraMunicipal Councils, Nagur Panchayats and Industrial Townships Act,1965. Whereas it isexpedient further to amend the Maharashtra Municipal Councils,Nagar Panchayats and Industrial Townships Art, 1965, for thepurposes hereinafter appearing ; it is hereby enacted in theSixty-first Year of the Republic of India, as follows:- 1. Short Title :- This Act may becalled the MaharashtraMunicipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats and Industrial Townships(Amendment) Act, 2010. 2. Amendment Of Section 179 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 179 of the Maharashtra MunicipalCouncils, Nagar Panchayats and Industrial Townships Act. 1965(hereinafter referred to as the principal Act"):- (1) Insub-section (2):- (a) For thewords "one hundred rupees the words one thousand rupees" shall besubstituted; (b) For thewords "twenty rupees" the wards two hundred rupees shall besubstituted; (2) Insub-section (8):- (a) For thewords one hundred rupees" the words "one thousand rupees" shall besubstituted; (b) For thewords "twenty rupees" the words "two hundred rupees" shall besubstituted. 3. Amendment Of Section 130 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section ISO of the principal Act, insub-section (7):- (1) For thewords one hundred rupees the words one thousand rupees shall besubstituted; (2) For thewords twenty rupees the words two hundred rupees" shall besubstituted. 4. Amendment Of Section 161 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 181 of the principal Act, insub-section:- (1) For thewords one hundred rupees the words one thousand rupees shall besubstituted; (2) For thewords twenty rupees the words two hundred rupees" shall besubstituted. 5. Amendment Of Section 183 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 183 of the principal Act, insub-section (6), for the words on e thousand rupees the words " tenthousand rupees shall be substituted. 6. Amendment Of Section 185 Of Man.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 185 of the principal Act, m sub-section(2), for the words fifty rupees the words five hundred rupees shallbe substituted. 7. Amendment Of Section 186 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 136 of the principal Act, insub-section (3), for the words o n e hundred rupees the words onethousand rupees shall be substituted. 8. Amendment Of Section 189 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 189 of the principal Act:- (1) Insub-section (9), for the words five thousand rupees the words fiftythousand rupees shall be substituted; (2) Insub-section (10), for the words twenty-five rupees the words twohundred and fifty rupees shall be substituted. 9. Amendment Of Section 192 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 192 of the principal Act, insub-section (5):- (1) For thewords one hundred rupees the words one thousand rupees shall besubstituted; 10. Amendment Of Section 193 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 193 of the principal Act, insub-section (3):- (1) For thewords five hundred rupees the words five thousand rupees shall besubstituted; (2) For thewords twenty-five rupees the words two hundred and fifty rupees"shall be substituted. 11. Amendment Of Section 194 Ofmail, Xl Of 1965 :- In section 194 of the principal Act, insub-section (2):- (1) For thewords five hundred rupees the words five thousand rupees " shall besubstituted; (2) For thewords ten rupees the words one hundred rupees shall besubstituted. 12. Amendment Of Section 196 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 196 of the principal Act, for the wordsfifty rupees the words five hundred rupees shall besubstituted. 13. Amendment Of Section 202 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 202 of the principal Act, insub-section (3):- (1) For thewords one hundred rupees the words one thousand rupees shall besubstituted; (2) For thewords ten rupees the words one hundred rupees shall besubstituted. 14. Amendment Of Section 210 Of Mah.Xi. Of 1965 :- In section 210 of the principal Act, insub-section (3), for the words one hundred rupees the words " onethousand rupees, and in the case of continuing offence with furtherfine which may extend to one hundred rupees for every day after thefirst during which such contravention continues shall besubstituted. 15. Amendment Of Section 211 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 211 of the principal Act, insub-section (2), for the words one hundred rupees the words onethousand rupees, and in the case of continuing offence with furtherfine which may extend to one hundred rupees for every day after thefirst during which such contravention continues " shall besubstituted. 16. Amendment Of Section 215 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 215 of the principal Act:- (1) Insub-section (4), for the words one hundred rupees the words onethousand rupees shall be substituted; (2 ) Insub-section (7), for the words three hundred rupees the words threethousand rupees shall be substituted. 17. Amendment Of Section 216 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 216 of the principal Act, insub-section (2), for the words o n e hundred rupees the words onethousand rupees shall be substituted. 18. Amendment Of Section 217 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 217 of the principal Act, insub-section (5):- (1) For thewords fifty rupees the words five hundred rupees shall besubstituted; ( 2 ) For thewords five rupees the words fifty rupees shall be substituted. 19. Amendment Of Section 221 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 221 of the principal Act, insub-section (3), for the words fifty rupees the words five hundredrupees shall be substituted. 20. Amendment Of Section 224 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 224 of the principal Act, insub-section (2), for the words t w o hundred and fifty rupees thewords two thousand and five hundred rupees shall besubstituted. 21. Amendment Of Section 228 Of Mah. Xlof 1965 :- In section 226 of the principal Act, in sub-section(2):- (1) For thewords fifty rupees the words five hundred rupees shall besubstituted; (2) For thewords ten rupees the words a one hundred rupees shall besubstituted. 22. Amendment Of Section 327 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 227 of the principal Act, insub-section (2):- (1) For thewords five hundred rupees the words five thousand rupees shall besubstituted; (2) For thewords twenty-five rupees the words two hundred a fifty rupees shallbe substituted; 23. Amendment Of Section 229 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 229 of the principal Act:- (1) Insub-section (2), for the words one hundred rupees the words onethousand rupees shall be substituted; (2) Insub-section (2), for the words one hundred rupees the words onethousand rupees shall be substituted; 24. Amendment Of Section 230 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 230 of the principal Act, for the words"one hundred rupees" the words "one thousand rupees, and in thecase of continuing offence with further fine which may extend toone hundred rupees for every day after the first during which suchcontravention continues" shall be substituted. 25. Amendment Of Section 231 Of Mahxl Of 1965 :- In section 231 of the principal Act:- (1) For thewords one hundred rupees the words one thousand rupees shall besubstituted; (2) For thewords twenty rupees the word two hundred rupees shall besubstituted. 26. Amendment Of Section 232 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 232 of the principal Act:- (1) Insub-section (3), for the words one hundred rupees the words onethousand rupees shall be substituted; (2) Insub-section (4), in clause (b), for the words one thousand rupeesthe words ten thousand rupees shall be substituted. 27. Amendment Of Section 233 Of Mah.Xl Of 1865 :- In section 233 of the principal Act, for the wordsone hundred rupees the words one thousand rupees shall besubstituted. 28. Amendment Of Section 236 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 236 of the principal Act. insub-section (2):- (1) For thewords one hundred rupees "the words one thousand rupees " shall besubstituted; (2) For thewords ten rupees the words one hundred rupees" shall besubstituted; 29. Amendment Of Section 267 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 267 of the principal Act, insub-section (2):- (1) For thewords five hundred rupees the words five thousand rupees shall besubstituted; (2) For thewords one hundred rupees the words one thousand rupees shall besubstituted; (3) For thewords fifty rupees the words five hundred rupees shall besubstituted; (4) For thewords ten rupees the words one hundred rupees shall besubstituted. 37. Amendment Of Section 269 Ofmah. Xl Of 1965 :- Insection 269 of the principal Act, in sub-section (2), for the wordsone hundred rupees the words one thousand rupees shall besubstituted. 38. Amendment Of Section 272 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 272 of the principal Act, insub-section (3), for the words fifty rupees the words five hundredrupees shall be substituted. 39. Amendment Of Section 274 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 274 of the principal Act, insub-section (3):- (1) For thewords five hundred rupees the words five thousand rupees shall besubstituted; (2) For thewords fifty rupees the words five hundred rupees shall besubstituted. 40. Amendment Of Section 275 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 275 of the principal Act, insub-section (3):- (1) For thewords five hundred rupees the words five thousand rupees shall besubstituted; (2) For thewords fifty rupees the words five hundred rupees shall besubstituted. 41. Amendment Of Section 276 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 276 of the principal Act, insub-section (3):- (1) For thewords five hundred rupees the words five thousand rupees shall besubstituted; (2) For thewords fifty rupees the words five hundred rupees shall besubstituted. 42. Amendment Of Section 278 Of Mahxl Of 1965 :- In section 278 of the principal Act, insub-section (3), for the words " one thousand rupees " the words "ten thousand rupees, and in the case of continuing offence withfurther fine which may extend to one thousand rupees for every dayafter the first during which such contravention continues " shallbe substituted. 43. Amendment Of Section 279 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 279 of the principal Act, insub-section (2):- (1) For thewords fifty rupees the words five hundred rupees shall besubstituted; ( 2 ) For thewords five rupees the words fifty rupees shall be substituted. 44. Amendment Of Section 230 Of Mah Xlof 1965 :- In section 280 of the principal Act, in sub-section(3):- (1) For thewords five hundred rupees the words five thousand rupees shall besubstituted; (2) For thewords fifty rupees the words five hundred rupees shall besubstituted. 45. Amendment Of Section 281 Ofmah. Xl Of 1965 :- Insection 281 of the principal Act, in sub-section (3):- (1) For the words two hundred rupeesthe words two thousand rupees shall be substituted; (2) For the words twenty rupees thewords two hundred rupees shall be substituted. 46. Amendment Of Section 285 Of Mah. Xl Of1965 :- In section 285 of the principal Act, insub-section (3), for the words f iv e hundred rupees the words fivethousand rupees shall be substituted. 47. Amendment Of Section 291 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 291 of the principal Act:- (1) Insub-section (1):- (a) In clause(1), for the words "three hundred rupees" the words three thousandrupees shall be substituted; (b) In clausefor the words five hundred rupees the words five thousand rupees "shall be substituted; (2) Insub-section (2), in clause (a), for the words two hundred and fiftyrupees the words two thousand and five hundred rupees shall besubstituted. 48. Amendment Of Section 292 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 292 of the principal Act:- (1) In clause(a) for the words one hundred rupees the words one thousand rupeesshall be substituted; (2) In clause(b), for the words two hundred and fifty rupees the words twothousand and five hundred rupees shall be substituted. 49. Amendment Of Section 284 Of Mah.Xl Of 1965 :- In section 294 of the principal Act, insub-section (2), for the words fifty rupees the words five hundredrupees shall be substituted; 50.
