Form of Receipt MAHARASHTRA RAW COTTON (PROCUREMENT, PROCESSING AND MARKETING) RECEIPT TO TENDERER OF KAPAS) RULES, 1972 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 46 read with section 23 of the Maharashtra Raw Cotton (Procurement, Processing and Marketing) Act, 1971 (Mah.XLVlI of 1971,) and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Government of Maharashtra hereby makes the following rules, the same having been previously published as required by sub-section (3) of the said section 46, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) These rules may be called the Maharashtra Raw Cotton (Procurement, Processing and Marketing) (Receipt to Tenderer of Kapas) Rules, 1972 (2) They shall come into force on the 1st August 1972. 2. Definitions :- In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires, - (a) "Act" means the Maharashtra Raw Cotton (Procurement, Processing and Marketing) Act, 1971 (Mah.XLVlI of 1971); (b) Other words and expressions used, but not-defined, in these rules shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act. 3. Form of Receipt :- (a) A receipt to be granted by the Market Committee, or the authorised Co-operative Society or person as the case may be, to every tenderer of kapas under sub-section (1) of S.23(1) of the Maharashtra Raw Cotton (Procurement, Processing and Marketing) Act, 1971, shall be in the Form appended to these rules and shall specify all the particulars prescribed therein. (b) The receipt shall be prepared in quadruplicate. One copy shall be given to the tenderer, one to the Market Committee, one to the Maharashtra State Co-operative Marketing Federation Limited, and one shall be retained by the sub-agent society.
