V Of 1962 Maharashtra Zilla Parishads And Panchayat Samitis (Amendment) Act, 2010 24 of 2010 [21 August 2010] In pursuance of clause (3) of article 348 of the Constitution of India, the following translation in English of the Maharashtra Zilla parishads and Panchayat Samitis (Amendment) Act, 2010 (mah, Act. No.XXIV of 2010 is hereby published under the authority of the Governor. By order and in the matter of the Governor of Maharashtra, H.B. Patel, Secretary to Government, Law and Judiciary Department (First published, after having received the assent of the Governor, in the "Maharashtra Government Gazette" o n the 21st August 2010.) Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1961, for the purposes hereinafter appearing; it is hereby enacted in the sixty -first Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short Title :- This Act may be called the Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis (Amendment) Act, 2010. 2. Amendment Of Section 78 Of Mah. V Of 1962 :- In section 78 of the Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1961 (hereinafter referred to as the Zilla Parishads Act"), in sub-section (1), for clause (e), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:- "(e) Education and Sports Committee,". 3. Amendment Of Section 80 Of Mah. V Of 1962 :- In section 80 of the Zilla Parishads Act, in sub-section (1), in clause (C), for the words "Education Committee" the words Education and Sports Committee" shall be substituted.
