Matron Grade-I, Class-II, in the Employees' State Insurance Scheme Recruitment Rules, 2003 In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Art. 309 of the Constitution of India, in supersession of all the existing rules, made in this behalf, the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to provide for regulating the recruitment to the post of Matron Grade-I, Class-II, in the subordinate services of the Director of Medical Services under the Employees' State Insurance Scheme, namely: 1. . :- These rules may be called Matron Grade-I, Class-II, in the Employees' State Insurance Scheme Recruitment Rules, 2003. 2. . :- Appointment to the post of Matron Grade-I, Class-II, in the Employees' State Insur- ance Scheme shall be made either,: (a) by Promotion of a person of proved merit and efficiency from amongst the person who have worked for not less than seven years as Matron Grade-I, Class-II in the Director of Medical Services under the Employees' State. OR (b) by direct selection; 3. . :- To be eligible for appointment by direct selection to the post mentioned in Rule 2, a candidate shall (a) not be more than 35 years of age; (b) possess, (i) B.Sc. Degree in Nursing from recognised University minimum five year experience in nursing services after obtaining Degree. (ii) Post basic B.Sc. Degree in nursing from a recognised University and mini- mum two years experience in nursing services after obtaining degree. OR (iii) Diploma in Hospital Administration and minimum five years experience in Nursing service. (iv) Diploma in Nursing Education and minimum five years experience in Nurs- ing Services. (v) Diploma in Public Health Nursing and minimum five years experience in Nursing Services : Provided that upper age limit shall be relaxed in favour of a candidate who is already in service of Government of Gujarat accordance with the provisions of Gujarat Civil Service Classification and Recruitment Rules (General) Rules, 1967 as amended from time to time. 4. . :- Have good knowledge of computer operation. 5. . :- The candidate appointed by direct selection shall be kept on probation for a period of two years. 6. . :- The selected candidate shall be required to pass the department examination and an examination in Hindi or Gujarati or both in accordance with the rules prescribed by the Government from time to time. 7. . :- The selected candidate appointed either by promotion or by direct selection shall, if so required to liable to serve in any defence services of post connected with the defence of India for a period of n o t less than four years including the period if any spent on training, provided that such a candidate; (a) shall not be required to serve as aforesaid after the expiry of ten years from the date of this appointment. (b) shall not ordinarily be required to serve as aforesaid after attaining the age of forty five years. 8. . :- The selected candidate shall be required to get himself registered under the Gujarat Nurse, Midwife and Health Visitors Act, 1968 before joining the duty, if she had not already been so registered. 9. . :- Furnish a security and surety bond in such form, for such amount and for such period as may be prescribed by the Government in that behalf.
