Medical Officer (Homoeopathy) (Class III) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 227 read with Sec. 274 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993) and in supersession of all the rules made in this behalf, the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to provide for regulating recruitment to the post of Medical Officer (Homoeopathy) (Class III) (Panchayat Service), namely: 1. 1. :- These rules may be called the Medical Officer (Homoeopathy) (Class III) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1998. 2. 2. :- Appointment to the post of Medical Officer (Homoeopathy) (Class III) (Panchayat Service), shall be made by direct selection. 3. 3. :- To be eligible for appointment by direct selection to the post mentioned in Rule 2, a candidate shall, (a) not be more than 30 years of age; (b) possess any of the recognised qualifications stated below which have been specified in the First Schedule to the Gujarat Homoeopathic Act, 1963: (i) Licentiate of the Court of Examiners in Homoeopathy (L.C.E.H.) constituted under the Bombay Homoeopathic Act, 1951; (ii) Graduate of the Court of Examiners in Homoeopathy (G.C.E.H.) constituted under the Bombay Homoeopathic Act, 1951; (iii) Fellow of the Court of Examiners in Homoeopathy (F.C.E.H.) constituted under the Bombay Homoeopathic Act, 1951; (iv) Any degree or diploma or certificate or like award in Homoeopathy granted by the Council of Homoeopathic System of Medicine constituted under the Gujarat Homoeopathic Act, 1963; and (v) Any other degree or diploma or certificate or like award included in the First Schedule to the Gujarat Homoeopathic Act, 1963 by the Government; (c) have adequate knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi. 4. 4. :- A selected candidate shall be on probation for a period of one year. 5. 5. :- A selected candidate shall be required to undergo such training for such period and pass such post training examination as may be prescribed by the Government. 6. 6. :- A selected candidate shall be required to pass the departmental examination and an examination in Gujarati or Hindi or both in acordance with the rules prescribed by the Government. 7. 7. :- A selected candidate shall be required to furnish a security and surety bond for such amount in such form and for such period as may be prescribed by the Government.
