Extension of period of validity of certain international load-line certificates MERCHANT SHIPPING (REMOVAL OF DIFFICULTIES) ORDER, 1971 1G.S.R. 92, dated 29th December, 1971. In exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 460A of the Mechant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order, namely: 1. Short title and Commencement :- (1) This order may be called the Merchant Shipping (Removal of Difficulties) Order, 1971. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 21st day of July, 1970. 2. Extension of period of validity of certain international load-line certificates :- Every International Load-line certificate issued or renewed under the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958) on or after the 21st day of July, 1968 and in force on the 20th day of July, 1970 shall, notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (7) of Section 317 of the said Act, continued to be in force for the period for which such certificate is issued or, as the case may be, renewed or until it ceases to be valid or cancelled under the provisions of the said Act.
