Amendment Of Section 12 Mizoram Salaries And Allowances Of The Speaker And The Deputy Speaker (Second Amendment) Act, 2005 5 of 2005 [23 March 2005] An Act to amend the Mizoram Salaries and Allowances of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker Act, 1999 (Act No.6 of 1999). Be it enacted by the Mizoram Legislative Assembly in the Fifty fifth year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short Title And Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Mizoram Salaries and Allowances of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker (Second Amendment) Act, 2005. (2) It shall come into force from the date of publication in the Mizoram Gazette. 2. Insertion Of New Proviso: Under Section 5 :- A new proviso shall be added to Section 5 of the Mizoram Salaries and Allowances of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker Act, 1999 (Act No.6 of 1999) (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act) namely: "Provided that the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker who are not provided with Government Quarter/Bungalow shall be entitled to receive a sum of rupees as may be fixed by the Budget Committee of the Mizoram Legislative Assembly from time to time for furnishing their residences. 3. Amendment Of Section 12 :- For Section 12 of the Principal Act the following shall be substituted, namely - "Discretionary Fund 12. The Speaker and the Deputy Speaker shall be provided with separate Discretionary Fund in each annual Budget, the amount of which shall be fixed by the Budget Committee of Mizoram Legislative Assembly from time to time".
