Repeal of Mysore Act XXIX of 1944 MYSORE FACTORIES (CONTROL OF DISMANTLING)(REPEAL) ACT, 1980 51 of 1981 [3 February, 1981] STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS MYSORE ACT No. 51 OF 1981 Karnataka Gazette, Extraordinary, dated 3-2-1981 The Mysore Factories (Control of Dismantling) Act, 1944 which is in force in the old Karnataka State, prohibits the dismantling of any factory or the removal of any spare parts kept for maintaining the machinery of a factory, without the written permission of the Government. The law was enacted, obviously, in the context of the situation then prevailing when India was involved in the second world war. It is felt that there is no need for the above measure in the circumstances now prevailing. Short title and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Mysore Factories (Control of Dismantling) (Repeal) Act, 1980. (2) It shall come into force at once. 2. Repeal of Mysore Act XXIX of 1944 :- The Mysore Factories (Control of Dismantling) Act, 1944 (Mysore Act XXIX of 1944) is hereby repealed.
