Website : www.courtkutchehry.com OIL PRESSURE STOVES (QUALITY CONTROL)ORDER, 1987 CONTENTS 1. 1 2. 2 3. 3 4. 4 OIL PRESSURE STOVES (QUALITY CONTROL)ORDER, 1987 G.S.R. 495 (E), dated 14th May, 1987 3. -In exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order, namely : 1. 1 :- (1) This Order may be called the Oil Pressure Stoves (Quality Control) Order, 1987. (2) It shall come into force on 1st October, 1987. 2. 2 :- In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "Oil Pressure Stoves" means burning appliances intended for domestic and commercial use, burning pressurised kerosene oil; (b) "Specified Standards" means the following Indian Standard Specifications,- 3. 3 :- No person shall by himself or by any person on his behalf manufacture or store for sale, sell or distribute any oil pressure stove which does not conform to the specified standards and that it would be with I.S.I. Certification Mark and the burners provided with the Oil Pressure Stoves shall be in accordance with IS : 8808- 1978, provided further that nothing in this Order shall apply in relation to export of oil pressure stoves which do not conform to the specified standard but conform to any specification required by the foreign buyer. 4. 4 :- The sub-standard or defective stoves or raw material or components which do not conform to the specified standards shall be deformed beyond use and disposed as scrap.
