Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislature in the Fifty-seventh Year of the Republic of India, as follows: -- * Published in the Chhattisgarh Rajpatra (Asadharan) dated 31-8-2006 Page 438(1). 1. Short Title, Extent And Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Pandit Sundarlal Sharma (Open) University Chhattisgarh (Amendment) Act, 2006. (2) It extends to the whole State of Chhattisgarh. (3) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Definition :- In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires: -- "Principal Act" means Pandit Sundarlal Sharma (Open) University Chhattisgarh Act, 2004 (No. 26 of 2004). 3. Amendment Of Section 9 :- In sub-section (8) of Section 9 of the Principal Act, for the word "two" the word "Five" shall be substituted.
