Rule Plumber (Class-IV) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1999 In exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 227 read with Sec. 274 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993), and in supersession of all the rules made in this behalf, the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to provide for regulating recruitment to the post of Plumber (Class-IV) (Panchayat Service), namely: 1. Rule :- These rules may be called the Plumber (Class-IV) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1999. 2. Rule :- To be eligible for appointment by direct selection to the post mentioned in Rule 1, a candidate shall (a) not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years of age, (b) (i) have passed Fourth Standard Examination, (ii) have undergo a course of pluming from an Industrial Training Institute recognised by the Government. (c) have adequate knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi. 3. Rule :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to undergo such training for such period and pass such post-training examination as may be prescribed by the Government. 4. Rule :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to furnish a security and surety bond in such form for such amount and for such period as may be prescribed by the Government.
