Amendment Of Section 1 Of Act Xii Of 1947 Railways (Transport Of Goods) (West Pakistan Amendment) Ordinance, 1967 04 of 1967 [02 June 1967] An Ordinance further to amend the Railways (Transport of Goods) Act, 1947, in its application to the Province of West Pakistan Preamble.- WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Railways (Transport of Goods) Act, 1947, in its application to the Province of West Pakistan, in the manner hereinafter appearing; AND WHEREAS the Provincial Assembly of West Pakistan is not in session and the Governor of West Pakistan is satisfied that circumstances exist which render immediate legislation necessary; Now, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by clause (1) of Article 79 of the Constitution, the Governor of West Pakistan is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:- 1. Short Title :- This Ordinance may be called the Railways (Transport of Goods) (West Pakistan Amendment) Ordinance, 1967. 2. Amendment Of Section 1 Of Act Xii Of 1947 :- In the Railways (Transport of Goods) Act, 1947 (Act XII of 1947), in its application to the Province of West Pakistan in section 1, in sub-section (3), for the word "twenty" the word "twenty-three" shall be substituted.
