Gaz., Part 1V-C, dated 12-6-1958 page 429] In pursuance of section 12 read with sub-sections (2) and (3) of section 11 of the Rajasthan Wild Animals and Birds Protection Act, 1951, the State Government does hereby make the following rules 1. Short title :- These rules may be called the Rajasthan Wild Animals and Birds Protection Rules, 1958. 2. Interpretation :- In these rules "Act" means the Rajasthan Wild Animals and Birds Protection Act, 1951 and "section" means a section of the Act. 3. Authorisation :- The following officers are hereby authorised to arrest without warrant under sub section (2) of section 11, any person, who has committed or is reported of having committed any offence under the Act, namely:-- (I) all Forest Officers not below the rank of a Forester; * Substituted by section 4 of the Raj. Act No 27 of 1957, pub. in Raj, Gaz. Part IV-A, Extraordinary, dated 13-8-1957. || Omitted vide item No. 14 of the Schedule-- ibid. (2) the Wild Life Preservation Officer; (3) game Wardens, Game Rangers and Game Watchers of the Forest Department; (4) all Revenue Officers not below the rank of a Girdawar. 4. Rank of an officer making a complaint :- No Police Officer nor any of the officers specified in rule 3 shall make a complaint in writing under sub-section (3) of section 11 unless he holds a rank not below that of a Sub-Inspector of Police.
