Amendment Of Section 3 Of Act 20 Of 1953 Salaries And Allowances Of Officers Of Parliament (Amendment) Act, 2008 30 of 2008 [30 December 2008] An Act further to amend the Salaries and Allowances of Officers of Parliament Act, 1953 Be it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short Title :- This Act may be called the Salaries and Allowances of Officers of Parliament (Amendment) Act, 2008. 2. Amendment Of Section 3 Of Act 20 Of 1953 :- In section 3 of the Salaries and Allowances of Officers of Parliament Act, 1953, in sub-section (1), for the words "forty thousand rupees", the words "one lakh twenty-five thousand rupees" shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been substituted with effect from the 1st day of January, 2006.
